About Assessment

This collection aims to showcase advancements in the science and practice of assessment in health professions education. Selected papers will demonstrate innovative research and critical perspectives that strengthen the link between assessment strategies and their impact on improving both learning and healthcare outcomes.

We welcome papers that:

• Demonstrate and critically evaluate the relationship between assessment approaches and educational or clinical outcomes.
• Examine, implement, and test assessment principles, models, and methods across local, national, or international contexts.
• Offer evidence-based insights into the design, application, and effectiveness of assessment practices in health professions education.

Manuscripts presented at the Ottawa Integrated Event, Vienna 2026, are particularly encouraged for inclusion in this collection.
